Our Journey
Boundless Beauty
Book Collection
Childhood is one of those golden phases when one gets a glimpse of Nature; it’s also the time when one gets to marvel at Nature’s wonders —her various creations. In fact, childhood forms the gateway to the world of birds and butterflies, grass and beasts, flowers and caterpillars.
And elders, especially our grannies and grandpas form an integral part of childhood because it’s when we perch on their lap that we hear stories of the proud peacock and the wise owl, about sparrows and crows, parakeets and cuckoos. Being Indians, we are more blessed! India is a country blessed with a very rich biodiversity. From snowclad Himalayan peaks to the dense forests of Western Ghats and vast coastal expanse, wildlife abounds everywhere and provides bounteous opportunities for a Nature enthusiast. Boundless Beauty - Part I, Part II and Part III, a treasure trove of avian gems offers a bird’s eye view of the birds from the ‘Western Ghats, Gujarat and Rajasthan’, ‘Uttarakhand’ and 'Water birds and Raptors'. There are a few species that have presence all over India but the book has showcased them based on their breeding territory, so that you can time your holiday to spot these! The 3 volumes are a culmination of a detailed exploration on each bird clicked from our camera. We have referred to many internet sites and books and compiled detailed information on these birds, which include their distribution, habitat, physical attributes, diet, behaviour and breeding.

Asian Paradise Flycatcher
This little wonder is an artist’s muse, a photographer’s fascination! In Marathi language it is known as ‘swargiya nartak’, translated as ‘heavenly hoofer’.
Rufous-bellied Woodpecker
Woodpeckers are truly nature’s able craftsmen. Like carpenters, they make nests on the trees relentlessly pecking on it. The bird’s very existence is the sign of healthy forest.
Shikra
Shikra is one of the commonest hawks in India. Its name has been derived from the word ‘shikra or shikara’, which means ‘hunter’ in Hindi and Urdu language. The name justifies its majestic look.
Little Egret
Egrets, snow white wading bird's are beautiful and elegant. During breeding season, they develop long ornamental nuptial plumes, which looks almost like a wedding gown!
LOVE THY NATURE
Preserve bird's treasure for our future generations.
Life is too precious to miss out on the wisdom and wonder of nature. As we progress into the twenty-first century, we will have to make the environment a top priority. Renewed connection with nature is the key both to our health and the health of our planet.
Birds have ecological value as important elements of natural systems. Birds provide insect and rodent control, plant pollination, and seed dispersal which result in tangible benefits to people. Insect outbreaks can annually destroy hundreds of millions of rupees of agricultural and forest products.
