    Common Greenshank birds breed in northern Scotland, Scandinavia, in the east from Central Asia to East Siberia and in Kamchatka in Russia. In winter, these birds migrate from western Europe to the Mediterranean from Africa, Madagascar, and from the east to the Middle East (West Asia, Egypt, and Turkey), South Asia, Indonesia, and Australia.
